About

Allyson Jean Malandra is a Philadelphia and New York based actor-singer-dancer-clown-musician extraordinaire.

Originally from Bucks County, PA, where she spent most of her childhood days singing on tabletops for her family and choreographing dances to Paula Abdul in her basement.  A graduate from The University of Iowa with her MFA in Acting, Allyson is also a Certified Assistant Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework® and she holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music.  Plus, during her time in undergrad, she spent two months studying abroad in London at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Some favorite roles include playing opposite Bill Moseley as Betsy Butte in Hayride To Hell (2022), Amy Macklin in Dry Land, Roxie Hart in Chicago, and getting to play a fake news reporter at the DNC alongside Triumph the Comic Insult Dog. Above all, Allyson absolutely loves creating new work — the creative process involved in readings, new plays, new musicals, and new pieces of art is one that feeds her soul as an artist.  She has been a singer and a pianist for over 20 years, and she also plays the oboe. When she's not performing, Allyson loves to practice yoga and ride horses.
